Himalaya: Mountains of Life is a coffee table book authored by Sandesh Kadur (National Geographic Explorer) and Kamaljit S. Bawa (Research and Exploitation Committee, National Geographic). The book contains information about the biodiversity of Eastern Himalaya and is divided into four main chapters, The Land, The People, The Animals, The Plants. Much as the photographs portray the glory of the Himalayas, this stands in stark contrast to the devastation wrought on the great mountains that has been equally well documented by the authors.
